Inspection of Games of Fortune Department (DIJFA)

Vong Chi Fu

1) To examine, supervise and monitor the frequency and operations of the casinos, gaming rooms, gaming zones and other areas that are allowed to operate casino games of fortune or other ways of gaming;

2) To examine the compliance with the legal, regulatory and contractual stipulations related to the operations of the various gaming methods of the casino games of fortune or other ways of gaming; 

3) To prevent and penalize any illicit activities in the operation locations and places of the casino games of fortune or other ways of gaming;

4) To control the activities that are related to the computation of the gross revenue, which is used for the calculation of the special gaming tax, junket promoter commission tax or tax of other rewards and contributions stipulated by the laws and contracts;

5) To conduct studies and give opinions on the newly introduced ways of games of fortune, to propose the related execution regulations and the relevant alternations if necessary;

6) To analyze the technical specifications of all the gaming equipments and utensils, including the electrical and mechanical gaming machines, for the issuing of authorizations and certifications;

7) To examine and supervise the materials and equipments utilized for the operations of casino games of fortune or other ways of gaming;

8) To examine, supervise and monitor the activities of the junket promoters, especially on their compliance with their legal, statutory and contractual obligations;

9) To formulate the written notices regarding the administrative infractions verified within the ambit of competence;

10) To file the process regarding the administrative infractions and the proper application of penalties;

11) To examine, supervise and monitor the casino games of fortune operated through interactive gaming.
