The Technicians of Gaming Machine |
Pursuant to
the Administrative Regulation No.26/2012, article 18, the Gaming Machine
Technicians are regulates as follows: |

As the
authorized Gaming machine manufacturers or suppliers apply for the
approval of their supply of the gaming machines by DICJ, there
should also be attached with a Submission of a list of authorized
technicians to assemble, install, program, repair, adapt, modify, give
technical assistance or carry out maintenance of the gaming machines under
approval, containing specifically, the identification, training experience
and information as to the professional training plans; Only the technicians
present in the list may assemble, install, program, repair, adapt, modify,
give technical assistance or carry out maintenance of the approved gaming
machines.

The gaming machine manufacturers may at any time, proceed with the
alteration of the list of authorized technicians, which may be active after
receipt by the DICJ. |

The DICJ
may order the gaming machine manufacturers to alter the list of authorized
technicians when it considers that a technician is not competent, qualified,
experienced or is not duly prepared to exercise his/her functions. |
  |
The gaming
machine manufacturers and Suppliers must prepare and maintain an updated
list of gaming machines supplied to each concessionary, containing
specifically, the identification of the technicians appointed for the
assembly, installation, programming, repair, adaptation, modification,
technical assistance and maintenance. |

The
technicians appointed by the gaming machine manufacturer and supplier must,
in the exercise of their functions, use an identification card in a place
visible to the surveillance system and control installed in the respective
locations for the exploitation of the games. |

The model
of the ID card mentioned in the previous item is approved by the DICJ and
must contain at a minimum, the identification of the technical and of the
respective manufacturer of the gaming machines as well as the nature of the
service which he/she is authorized to provide. |

The ID card
for the technicians which are no longer listed as authorized technicians
must be returned to the DICJ by the gaming machine manufacturer so that it
may be disabled. |
  |
In case of
expiry, renouncing, suspension or revoking of the conceded authorization for
the gaming machine manufacturer, only the technicians authorized by the
gaming machines testing laboratory of a recognized international competence
may continue to repair, give technical assistance or carry out maintenance
on the gaming machines provided by them. |

The
provision of the current administrative regulation with respect to the
authorized technicians is applicable to the testing laboratory and
technicians mentioned in the previous item with prejudice of the DICJ being
able to determine the application of other provisions. |
  |
The gaming
machine manufacturers and the testing laboratories are solely responsible
with the technicians appointed by them, for the assembly, installation,
programming, repair, adaptation, modification, technical assistance or
maintenance of the gaming machines. |
