1) To direct and co-ordinate the overall activities of the DICJ and to conduct necessary supervision, inspection and examination on each subsidiary;
2) To issue working instructions and stipulations or orders that the department must comply with through circulars;
3) To issue instructions pertaining to the compliance with the law, the concession contract and the well implementation of Article 2 of the Administrative Regulation;
4) To represent the DICJ in public;
5) To exercise the competence delegated directly or indirectly, and other competence delegated by the laws or regulations;
6) To formulate contracts for the provisions of physical labor and personal service;
7) To issue, suspend and revoke the licenses of the junket promoters of the casino games of fortune;
8) To apply penalties for the administrative infractions stipulated in the general regime and other legislations.
